First field trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Wesley and Mommy went to the Pumpkin Patch with his school. We had a lot of fun. He got to play with his friends, pick out a pumpkin, eat lunch, go for a hay ride (only in the south do you go on a hay ride and see palm trees-see photos) and watch a play. It was really cold yesterday so we bundled up with lots of layers, but of course Wesley had to wear his really cool pumpkin shirt that he and Dad made on "Donuts with Dad Day" at school. Everyone thought his shirt was really cute. And yes, that is Wesley picking his nose, lol.

Fishing with "Hampa"

Christopher's parents came down for a visit and Dale took Wesley fishing in our backyard. He caught a couple fish. He has a very sensitive side to him though because he didn't want to hurt the fish or the worm ("No hurt worm! Not hurt fish!"). But they had a good time.

Back to School!

Wesley went back to school last week. He's going three days a week now. He is, very sadly, NOT in Avery Grace's class, but he has a few classmates from last year and he's making new friends. In particular one little boy whom he was knocking heads with. Ah, boys. :) He seems to like his new teacher, Ms. Allison.

Rain, Rain Go away!

"Flo" had been giving us all kinds of rain. It rained day after day, it seemed like it would never stop and we were all getting cabin fever, especially Wesley. So, Christopher decided that Wesley should get to go outside for a bit. Well, that ended up with Wesley playing in the (very nasty) water that was like a beach in our front yard, with the water overflow from the storm drain that, by the way, does NOT drain the water. Oh well, Wesley had a good time then we sanitized him in the bath.

More fun than Disney

Wesley's favorite activity at the mall is not the play area for the kids, or even watching the fish at Outdoor World. It's riding up  and down the escalators at the Savannah Mall. Who needs Disney's Tea cup ride when you can go "up-ah-stairs and down-a-stairs"? Christopher is more than happy to oblige him several times.

Favorite food

Wesley's all time favorite food is tacos. Well, taco meat, cheese salsa and sour cream. Although sometimes he protests the tomatoes/salsa he usually ends up eating it, especially just the salsa with chips. He is SO our son! lol He ate 3 full servings yesterday for dinner. If you ever have to feed him, this is the one meal he is always up for eating!

Wesley and Daddy

This is where I caught them "rocking out" to music downstairs. They were having a great time.

This is funny, so I will add it here. I came downstairs the other day after taking a nap. As I am walking down the stairs I hear Christopher say to Wesley: "Where did you get that? Are you supposed to have that?" (a pause) "Well, I don't know if you are allowed to have that or not, so I guess it's ok." The object in question? A fudge pop that he's been nursing for about a week and a half now. Too much.

Beware of the bugs in the south!

So, this is probably old news to everyone, but I have to add it.

I had spent the night over my friend's house with Wesley one night. We woke up and I noticed his eye looked funny, like he had hit it. It got more and more swollen at the day progressed. I thought he might have hurt himself, but there was nothing there to suggest he had hit himself in the eye (no cut or bruising). Anyway, after talking to a few people I gathered that it had been caused by a but bite. Ouch! It was swollen for about 3 days before it subsided. Poor baby! These pictures remind of the ones of Kyle when he had that big old knot on his head.

It's been forever

So, yeah, I suck at updating Wesley's blog, as I stated in our other blog. Oh well. I will try, but don't count on anything! :)

Anyway, Wesley is adjusting to having Daddy home, as we all are, but he's having fun anyway. While Mommy's dancing is a total embarrassment to him, he does enjoy "rocking out" with Dad.
